Carus Consultants consists of a network of advisors, drawn from both the charity and business sector.

Carus Consultants principal:

Bob Cornell is senior Director and has over 25 years experience in the sector. Bob has founded a Charity and taken it to a turnover of over £1m p.a., worked for large national Charities, has been employed as a CEO and as Head of Fund Raising.  He has had over ten years association with grant making trusts in an advisory and assessing capacity.

Bob has extensive experience of working for health related organisations, small community endeavours and assisting 'unpopular' causes. He has a special interest in N.G.O. development in India and regularly visits to offer training as well as making assessments for U.K. based trusts.

Bob has represented the UK on EU symposia and received awards for his 'exceptional contribution and innovation in the small to medium charity sector' from the Guardian Jerwood Awards as well as being recognised by the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey for his 'exceptional contribution to the Surrey community'.  He  served as Chair of Trustees of the No More Landmines Trust.

Bob believes in a ‘keep it simple’ approach. ‘The sector has become overloaded with jargon based reports and processes that serve only to inhibit and confuse both philanthropists and service providers.  The business of both acquiring and allocating funds remains rooted in common sense and good manners.  It can and should be understandable by all.’
